2025 Players Shootout RULES and FORMAT ALL SCPTA RULES LISTED ARE DESIGNED TO PROTECT THE ENTIRE FIELD AND SET FORTH A FARE & EVEN PLAYING PLATFORM FOR ALL PLAYERS. THESE RULES WILL BE ENFORCED TO THE LETTER & ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE. ANY INFRACTIONS WILL LEAD TO A PROMP DISQUALIFICATION & FORFIT OF ANY OR ALL WINNINGS. 2025 Players Shootout Format The 2025 event to be a 2-man team competition staged over 2 days. 2 Different Formats. 3 Flights Gross, Net & Gross Net Combination Saturday Day 1. (1) Day One 2man Shamble format with 7 tee shot minimum each player. To be played on the Legends Course from white tees. Sunday Day 2. (2) Day Two a 2man Scramble on the Resort course played from white tees with a mandatory 7 tee shot minimum each player. (3) All par 3s to be played from the white tees EXCEPT ON #17 BACK TEES. <A> COUNT & RECORD EVERY STROKE CORRECTLY. <B> NO GIMMIES MUST PUTT OUT EVERY HOLE. <C> TEE BALL CHOSEN TO PLAY MUST BE PLAYED AS LIE SECOND BALL MUST BE DROPPED NOT PLACED. <D> FLAGSTICKS BALL MUST BE ON THE GREEN.
PLAYER AND TEAM QUALIFICATIONS (1) All players must have an ACTIVE & Valid USGA/SCGA Index for a minimum of 6 months. (NO PLUS INDEX OR RESENTLY ACTIVE MINI TOUR PLAYERS ELIGABLE) (2) Newly indexed players must have an established USGA index card before Nov 31, 2024, or will play to ZERO Handicap or Directors & HD Chairman's calculation. (3) Player Index ranges minimum.1 maximum 25. (4) Each 2man team must be comprised of a MINIMUM 6 combined index & Maximum of 40. (Note: Teams may have in excess of 40 index but will only receive the max. 40 TOTALPOPSon Saturday & 20 on Sunday. (5) Teams will be afforded 80% of handicaps per USGA Team Play Rule. All teams must be approved of by Tournament Director. EVENT COURSE RULES (1) The Championship will be played from white & assorted tees. (2) Day 2 Scramble tee shot chosen to be use ball must be played as is & not to be moved. The second ball to be DROPPED within 1 club length except when putting. Once the ball has been legally DROPPED it is deemed to be in play. (3) Day 2 Scramble for pace of play purpose 1st player putting may put out instead of marking thus still allowing teammate opportunity of making first putt. NO GIMMIE PUTTS (4) Cart Radio Rule: No open volume music or radio allowed on the course unless agreed to by both groups. (5) Day 1 on holes 1 & 10 if tee shot does not cover the hill may can advance & drop ball to closest point on top of hill with no penalty. SCORE CARDS All score cards must be turned in immediately after the completion of Round Before going to the parking lot, Bar or Lunch. Official Scorers Exempted. All cards must be Neat, Legible & Not Altered. All Score Cards are to be Correct & signed by Scorer & Attested or Team with incorrect card will be fined $25 NO EXCEPTIONS!
